    The service is awesome. The staff are friendly and welcoming inside and at the window. The food is delicious! The restaurant is clean. There is limited seating inside. I highly recommend the fried chicken!

    I love Carter's and I always make a stop here when I come in town.  The food is good and so is the customer service. It takes me back to growing up in the country and eating at the lil family owned businesses where the food was made with love. I almost always get a chicken breast sandwich with fried okra and a sweet tea. The chicken is never dry and it's seasoned to perfection. By no means is this fine dining. This is a good meal that will satisfy you from the inside out and maybe make you want to take a nap afterwards. They are also cheap. My husband loves getting the gizzard box and although I rarely get them anymore the burgers are good as well. Can't go wrong. Check em out!

    Chicken was great..a line of people is always a good sign right after opening..pickled jalapenos I loved for years even in my Houston area...not the mushy church's jalapeno..the one that gives a crunch is great..mac and cheese was light..family didn't enjoy it..fried okra is good..fries since they were to go..the steam inside box togo may have lost it's crunchiness..overall good stuff

    I really enjoy their food, I love going on Wednesday for lunch they have Chicken and dressing and collard greens. The Chicken is always good, perfectly cooked and all the sides I have tried over the years are very tasty. They have hamburgers, fish, pork chops etc... Not a place to go if you are on a diet.

    I'm sad I don't live on this side of town anymore. So far best chicken I have had in town. Banana pudding is also yum
